CONTACTLESS DEVELOPING METHOD

PURPOSE:To reduce the unnecessary consumption of a toner and prevent pollution of the inside of a device due to sticking of floating toner particles, by returning floating toner particles to a developing area to use them for development. CONSTITUTION:Though floating toner particles are moved in the same direction as a rotary drum-type photosensitive body 1 and a developer layer D, they are returned to a developing area A because a flow F of air is formed in the direction opposite to the moving direction of them. Floating toner particles are stuck to the rotary drum-type photosensitive body 1 by a strong alternating electric field in the developing area and are used for development and are attracted to the developer layer D by the strong magnetic force due to a magnet body M and are recovered. Thus, scattering and sticking of floating toner particles to the inside of the device are reduced, and the unnecessary consumption of the toner is prevented.
