PURPOSE:To prevent the change in the compsn. of an internal liquid and the corrosion of an electrode body and to make the electrode usable for a long period by providing plural routes disposed with liquid junction members to a liquid junction part and changing over each one thereof for liquid junction. CONSTITUTION:The internal liquid 8 is filled in a vessel 7 contg. the electrode body 6 made by sticking a hardly meltable metallic solid 5 to a metal 4 to provide an electrode reaction part 2. The liquid junction part 3 is constituted with the routes 10-12 which are connected at one end to the part 2 and at the other end to a liquid to be measured (not shown), parts 13-15 for liquid junction disposed thereto and solenoid valves 16-21 which are change-over devices provided to the routes 10-12 via the members 13-15. The liquid junction is executed by selecting any one among the routes 10-12 and the route is changed over successively to the other routes 10-12 by the valves 16-21. The change in the compsn. of the internal liquid and the change in the quality and corrosion of the electrode body are thus prevented and the electrode is made usable for a long period. |
