摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an accurate binary coded picture, by obtaining picture information for recognizing the picture of floc from a plurality of pictures, which are picked up by an ITV camera within an approaching time. CONSTITUTION:The floc picture information, which is picked up by an ITV camera arranged in the final flock forming pond of a plurarity of flock forming ponds, is sent to a recognition timing control circuit 100 of a picture recognizing device 9 through an ITV accepting circuit 5. The circuit 100 controls a picture information accepting time interval (frequency). The signal is binary-coded by a binary coding circuit 103 based on a threshold value with respect to luminance specified by a threshold input circuit 102 through an A/D conversion circuit 101. A number is assigned to each floc by a labeling circuit 104. The diameter of a representative particle is computed by a particle-diameter measuring circuit 106. A particle-diameter comparing circuit 107 compares the particles diameters. The number of flocs having each particle diameter is stored in memory circuits 108A-108Z. A recognition control circuit 109 returns the operation to the circuit 100 until the specified times are reached. When the specified times are reached, particle diameter distribution is computed by a particle-diameter-distribution operating circuit 110.
