PROCESS FOR PREPARING POLYKETONES A process for preparing an interpolymer of one or more olefins with carbon monoxide is disclosed. The process, which comprises reacting the olefin(s) with carbon monoxide in the presence o a palladium catalyst prepared by reacting together for example palladium acetate, 1,3-bis (diphenylophosphino)propane and para- toluenesulphonic acid, is improved by having an amide or nitrile present. The presence of an amide or nitrile improves reaction rates and reduces the amount of catalyst incorporated into polyketone. A preferred additive is dimethylformamide.
