Apparatus which allows bottles to be handled during the production of wines by the Champagne method, driven by a hydraulic or pneumatic jack which alone is responsible for the operation. The apparatus is made up of a stationary cylinder which acts as a support for a casing 2 rotating about a pivot 3 in the direction of rotation and of pivoting at the same time; the two coupled motions are performed by means of the pivot of the casing, which is housed and guided in two opposed and aligned lunettes, the drive is provided by means of a jack 4 which acts on one of the two pinions which are placed at both ends of the pivot and are fastened to a circular ring locked against the wall of the stationary cylinder by means of rolling rollers which permit the pivoting motion, while the pinions, being fastened to the ring by rolling means, perform the rotary motion at the same time; each of the driving pulses produces a vibration which is transmitted to the bottles. <IMAGE>
