<p>PURPOSE:To aim at confirming the recognition of braking irrespective of the opening and closing conditions of a trunk, by providing first and second directivities for directing light rearward in the horizontal direction in the opening and closing conditions of a trunk lid, to a lamp attached to the trunk lid. CONSTITUTION:When a brake pedal is operated during running of a vehicle, a lamp switch is turned on, simultaneously with the turn-on of a normal stop lamp, to light on a bulb 4 from which light is converged to a first lens section 6a by means of a reflector 5. Therefore, the first lens section 6a directs red color light rearward of the vehicle in the horizontal direction to indicate the operation of the brake even to two or three vehicles behind the instant vehicle, thereby the bulb 4 is usable to prevent a two-way collision. Meanwhile, when a trunk lid 1 is opened, a second lens section 6b is positioned in a substantially vertial direction with respect to the road surface so that light from the bulb 4 is converged to the lens section 6b from which red color light is directed rearward of the vehicle in the horizontal direction, thereby the vehicle behind the instant vehicle may confirm the operation of the brake even if the trunk of the instant vehicle is opened.</p> |
