摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent a change of output torque and/or generation of a misfire in an engine when it is driven in idle operation, by controlling the engine so that its calculated ignition timing is retarded by a predetermined degree when the engine is driven in an idle operational condition at a speed of predetermined value or less. CONSTITUTION:The captioned device, calculating the optimum ignition timing by an ignition timing arithmetic means M3 on the basis of a detection signal from an operational condition detecting means M2 detecting an operation parameter of engine speed and throttle valve opening or the like, controls in accordance with this optimum ignition timing an ignition means M4 in each cylinder of an internal-combustion engine M1. Here the arithmetic means M3 is constituted such that the calculated ignition timing is retarded by a predetermined degree when it is decided that the engine is in an idle operational condition further with a speed of the engine in a predetermined value (for example, 600rpm) or less. In this way, the device surely prevents a change of output torque and/or generation of a misfire in the engine when it is driven in idle operation.
