PURPOSE:To improve the cooling effect of a nozzle, by driving a forced feed fuel pump to continue its cooling action for a predetermined time after an internal-combustion engine is stopped until the fuel injection nozzle is cooled to a predetermined temperature. CONSTITUTION:An internal-combustion engine, if its key switch 38 is turned on, drives both a forced feed fuel pump 33 by turning on a motor 37 and a fuel injection pump in synchronous operation with the internal-combustion engine. And a nozzle, if its spool 22 in a selector valve 15 is moved to the right side by fuel forcedly fed by pressure from the fuel injection pump, connects an injection fuel inlet 16 with an oil path 17 further blocks a cooling fuel inlet 18 to be isolated from oil paths 17, 19 and a cooling fuel outlet 20. Thereafter, the fuel injection pump is stopped by turning off the key switch 38. Here a control unit 41 holds an autoswitch 43 in an on-condition so as to continue operation of the forced feed fuel pump 33 before a temperature in the cooling fuel outlet 20 decreases to a predetermined valur or less, that is, till the fuel injection nozzle cools to a predetermined temperature. |
