A hydraulic ram with piston and top and bottom dies are held in the press frame. The press components (2,3,7,8) are secured by two diametral closed tension brackets (9). On one side the components are supported from the deflection point of the bracket by a thrust piece (6), while on the other side the bottom die (8) is supported from the bracket deflection (93). There can be flats (91) on the inside of the straight bracket arm, into which fits the ram (2).
