PURPOSE:A solution containing a water-soluble alkali salt of polysiloxane, alcohol and water in a specific proportion is subjected to ion exchange to give the titled compound which can dissolve in colloidal solutions and organic solvents without gelling. CONSTITUTION:5-20wt% of a water-soluble alkali salt such as Na salt of a polysiloxane of the formula: RSiO3/2 (R is 1-4C alkyl, 2-4C alkenyl, phenyl), 30-90wt% of an alcohol of the formula: R'OH (R' is 1-4C alkyl) such as methanol and 5-50wt% of water are mixed and the resultant solution is subjected to ion exchange with a strong acid cation exchange resin or weak basic anion exchange resin to give the objective compound. |
