Each of several connecting pieces (3) comprises two elongate/steel parts with rectangular cross-sections and a length which is greater than the cross-section of a wooden column (1). The steel parts are fixed to each other widthways, spaced apart. The longitudinal direction of the connecting piece is the same as that of the width (B) of the cross-section of the column. This permits the column to be anchored adjustably on both sides around the width of the cross-section by bolts (6) which are cast into concrete and extend through holes between the steel bars.
