Method to initiate an explosive charge in explosive welding inside an object intended to be explosion-welded to another object, where the only accessible opening from the outside and into the explosive charge is a slot that exists between the objects where they are to be joined by the explosion welding. This is distinguished by a first, exterior, secondary explosive charge (11) outside the slot, which is made to detonate, injects particles (14), preferably metallic particles, into said slot (10) whereby the particles (14) meet a second, larger, interior secondary explosive charge (12) inside the slot which is initiated and thereby initiates the explosive charge (7) through which the explosion welding is achieved via a fuse (18).<IMAGE> |
