PURPOSE:To index a tool at a specified position quickly and exactly by fixing a single unit of magazine and the supporting frame of the central shaft with a pin aligning the center of the single unit of magazine equipped with a plurality of tool holding mechanisms on the periphery with the center of a supporting body. CONSTITUTION:On the periphery of the almost circle supporting body 12 of a magazine for tool replacement, a single unit of magazine 8 equipped with a plurality of tool holding mechanisms 13 for holding tools 3 is installed with the center of the supporting body 12 aligning with the center of the central shaft 11 which is so installed as to be rotated freely in the peripheral direction of the frame F1 and F2 of a tool pallet F and with the holding direction of the tools 3 made by the tool holding mechanisms 13 being almost parallel to the central shaft 11. A fixing hole 24a is provided to either the single unit of magazine 8 or the frame F2, and a fixing pin 23 for stopping the free rotation of the single unit of magazine 8 being inserted into the fixing hole 24a caused by the travel of a main spindle holding the tools 3 is provide to another one. |
