PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of creases by mounting a tension roller for an ink sheet under the state in which the position of recording is held by a cassette. CONSTITUTION:When a cassette 9 is installed on the draft-base cover 17 side and the draft-base cover 17 is closed, a platen roller 4 is inserted from an opening section 9e for the cassette 9, and recording paper 5 and an ink sheet 1 are pushed against the thermal head 3 side. Recording paper 5 and the ink sheet 1 are bent conically to the thermal head 3 side, and tension rollers 37, 37 are moved upward against the resilient force of a leaf spring 38, and pushed against the thermal head 3. The sag of the ink sheet 1 is removed, and the generation of creases is prevented. The tension of the ink sheet among the tension rollers 37 and the platen roller 4 does not change suddently because the tension rollers are moved vertically while being pushed by the leaf spring 38. |
