PURPOSE:Synthetic resin reeds which are used to make screens for making laver sheets are coated with a chlorinated polyolefin resin and treated with warm water to give laver sheets of good quality with reduced change in adhesion to laver with passage of time. CONSTITUTION:Synthetic resin reeds which are used to give screens for making laver sheets are coated with a chlorinated polyethylene or chlorinated polypropylene, preferably a chlorinated polyolefin of 10-80% chlorination degree and the coated reeds are brought into contact with warm water at 40-100 deg.C, preferably 50-90 deg.C for several min -24hr. |
