摘要 A fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines is described, which has a pump piston (3) held in a pump housing (2) and driven to oscillate synchronously with the engine speed, which piston with its end face opposite the enveloping housing encloses a pressure chamber (7), which during the pump stroke can be connected to a pressure line (11) leading to an injection valve. The fuel injection pump also has a control element (14), adjustable as a function of the operating state of the internal combustion engine, which element determines the end of delivery by opening a connection between the pressure chamber (7) and a low pressure chamber. In order to increase the speed of the opening process and thereby to improve the control of the injection quantity, it is proposed that, at least in the lower speed range of the internal combustion engine, the control element (14) also be capable of actuation with an adjusting movement speeding up the opening process. In one injection pump embodiment, in which the control element is formed by a control slide valve (14), held axially displaceable on the pump piston and adjustable as a function of the operating state, it is proposed that at the same time a servomotor be provided for the application of an axial adjusting movement of the control slide valve (14), superimposed on the operating state-dependent adjustment and directed counter to the oscillating reciprocating movement of the pump piston. <IMAGE>
