PURPOSE:The DNA coding for L-threonine production is cut off from a microorganism in Serratia and recombined into the vector plasmid and transferred into a Serratia microorganism to prepare a new microorganism with high L- threonine productivity. CONSTITUTION:A chromosome fragment coding for L-threonine production, which is collected from a microorganism in Serratia capable of producing L- thereonine is recombined to form a hybrid plasmid and it is transferred into a microorganism in Serratia. The resultant organism is cultured in a medium to collect the L-threonine accumulated in the medium.
