Machine for the pneumatic discharge of granular material, which has a supply container, from which it is fed via a metering mechanism to a number of pipelines which are connected to a blower and the outer ends of which are provided with outflow orifices, are arranged at intervals transversely to the direction of travel and are respectively equipped with elbows. In order to improve the known machines in such a way that the material/air stream conveyed through the pipelines issues from the outflow orifices of the pipelines or reaches the elbows, arranged in front of the outflow orifices, with a material distribution uniform over the cross-section of the pipelines, swirl elements (21) projecting into the material/air stream are arranged at a distance in front of the outflow orifices within at least the longer pipelines (15) (Figure 3). <IMAGE>
