Mutually insulated electrical conductors (2, 4) embedded in the display panel (1) of a control and monitoring device represent transmitting antennas which can be cyclically successively switched on by associated transmitting devices (3, 5). The switching pen (6) is provided with a correspondingly tuned receiving antenna and causes the detection of the conductors detected by it as activated via an evaluating device.
