The invention relates to an apparatus for continuous coating, in particular of soft plastic products, for example for coating shaped pieces of truffle-like products with chocolate flakes or strands in the confectionary industry or of doughnuts with crystalline sugar in the bakery industry and for coating in other industrial sectors. The aim of the invention is to considerably increase the efficiency of the apparatus and the quality of the products and to simplify the apparatus, in that an exact transport of the shaped pieces to be coated is achieved by the installation of lifters with baffles on the interior wall of a tube rotatable about its longitudinal axis and, at the same time, the flowable coating material is not transported but is exclusively available to the coating process, the coating material, as a result of the installation of a framework on the interior wall of the tube, experiences an intensive circulation and thus a favourable condition for the coating process of the shaped pieces. <IMAGE>
