A method for forming channels with alternately successive cross- section constrictions and widenings in solid bodies, for example bodies having cuboid or cylindrical external dimensions, which is used when said bodies are fabricated from solidifiable plastic or liquid compositions. In this process, hollow bodies (8) made of an elastic material are given a shape, by filling their interior with a pressure medium, which corresponds to the cross-section profile of one at a time of the channels to be formed. The hollow bodies (8) are first introduced into the composition while it is still liquid or plastic, are inflated by the pressure medium and are held in the composition enclosing them until the latter has solidified, and are then withdrawn from the now solid body. <IMAGE>
