COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT AND COMMUNICATION- NODE COUPLING METHOD

PURPOSE: To realize efficient transmission management for multimedia communication by configuring a logic ring structure from a logic point-to-point connection among a plurality of nodes. CONSTITUTION: A prescribed node in a LAN 24 is coupled with a prescribed node in a LAN 26 mutually by a point-to-point link 30. The point-to-point link 30 is established especially between a node 18 of a LAN 26 and a node 12 of the LAN 24. Furthermore, in order to make a logic ring complete, the nodes 12, 16 are connected to the node 14 by the link 30. The link 30 is realized between nodes of the LAN by allowing each node to designate an address of all packets to either of other two nodes.
