In case the copying paper is A4 size, a signal of a fact that the going motion speed and the return motion speed of the exposure lamp are set to VF9 and VR10, respectively, is outputted, and the exposure lamp executes a scan at this speed, a relation of VFa=VFb and VR9>VR10 is formed, the scan time required for one reciprocating motion becomes tF10+tR10, the timings of the return motion time tR10 and the feed paper time tP coincide with each other, the copying end time of one sheet and the feed paper operation end time coincide roughly with each other, and it is realized that the magnification copying is exexecuted at a high speed.
