PURPOSE:To impart continuous strain effectively to a steel plate by a method wherein a strain imparting roll on the periphery thereof spiral protrusions are formed, and a retaining roll are arranged facing to each other, and a steel plate to be worked is passed therebetween. CONSTITUTION:A strain imparting roll 3, on the periphery thereof spiral protrusions 2 are formed, is arranged facing to a retaining roll 4. Said two rolls are placed in the manner that either one of them or the both are enabled to freely approach to each other or pressing mutually in contact. A steel plate 5 to be worked is made to pass through said both rolls 3 and 4, thereby stripe form minute strains are imparted on the surface of the steel plate 5. |
