In a device for the storage and display of foods, in particular of fruit and vegetables, for insertion in sales shelves, sales stands or the like, a solution is to be provided with which a sales shelf or a sales stand can be designed from the outset in such a way that the storage of foods in cases, pallets or the like is not necessary, at the same time guaranteeing that a visually attractive appearance is likewise maintained without this being impaired by the degree of filling of the sales stand with the product to be sold and stored. This is achieved in that the device (1) is constructed as a substantially closed case (4) which is wedge-shaped in the lateral view and is provided with a sloping upper receiving surface for the product to be displayed, the sloping receiving surface being divided by transverse division into individual partial receiving surfaces (8). <IMAGE>
