PURPOSE:To obtain large rotary brake force by providing annular grooves of large and small diameters and a plurality of radial grooves for connecting the annular grooves at both side surfaces of a brake disk, and disposing secondary conductors in the grooves. CONSTITUTION:Annular grooves 11, 12 of large and small diameters, and radial grooves 13 for connecting the grooves 11, 12 are provided on both side surfaces of a brake disk 10. The grooves 13 are formed by displacing at 45 deg. on both side surfaces. Conductors 14 having small electric resistance are cast in the grooves 11, 12, 13 as the secondary conductors. When the disk 10 is rotated to cross a magnetic flux from a stator, an eddy current flows also to the conductor 13 to generate a brake force. Since the resistance of the conductor 14 is small, a current easily flows to generate a large brake force. |
