PURPOSE:To speed up bonding work by reducing the time of stopping a tool by a method wherein balls are formed while the tool is risen after finish of stitch bonding. CONSTITUTION:When the tool 1 is risen in the direction of an arrow (a), a wire 4 is drawn out of the tip of the tool 1 because a clamper 2 is opened. The clamper 2 is closed at the point of drawing the wire 4 by a length l and the tool 1 and the clamper 2 are risen, when the wire 4 is torn off. A torch rod 3 for discharge is swung from a lateral direction while the tool 1 is risen to the direction of an arrow (b), until a ball is formed at the projection part of the wire 4. This reduces the time of stopping the tool 1 and speeds up the bonding work. |
