PURPOSE:To prevent the disconnection by burning of lead superconductive wires even when quench starts by covering the lead superconductive wires as a wind- starting end and a wind-finishing end of a superconductive coil with pipes of a poor heat conductivity in order to effect a heat insulation. CONSTITUTION:A superconductive coil 11 is composed by winding a superconductive wire on a winding frame 12 which is to be cooled by a liquid helium. Lead superconductive wires 13 and 14 as a wind-starting end and finishing end of said coil 11 are led out of the winding frame 12 through apertures 15 and 16. The lead wires 13 and 14 are covered with pipes 17 and 18 which have flexibility and consist of an insulation tube such as silicon tube or the like which are poor at the heat conductivity with inserting the pipes into the inside of frame 12. In addition, fats and oils are filled between the superconductive wires 13 and 14, and the pipes 17 and 18 so as to transmit the heat to the inside of the coil 11 at occurance of quench in the superconductive wires 13 and 14, thereby actuating a quench detector. |
