PURPOSE:To realize successive color changeover by a method wherein a color masterbatch meter and a base pellet meter are provided on a cylindrical chute and the starts and stops of the respective meters are done by the detection outputs of an upper limit and a lower limit level detecting devices. CONSTITUTION:Color masterbatches 11 sent from a color masterbatch meter 5 and base pellets 12 sent from a base pellet meter 6 are alternately piled up in layers in a transparent cylindrical chute 1 and fed as piled up in an extruder screw A. An upper limit level detecting device 3 and a lower limit level detecting device 4 are installed at the cylindrical chute 1 in order to start and stop the respective meters 5 and 6 based upon the detection outputs of the respective level detecting devices 3 and 4.
