Process for conditioning a pigment of the anthanthrone, pyranthrone, isoviolanthrone, flavanthrone, indanthrone, naphthaldazine, indigo, thioindigo, naphthalenetetracarboxylic acid, dioxazine, isoindolinone, perylenetetracarboxylic acid and bisimide, anthrapyrimidine, acylaminoanthraquinone, dianthraquinonyl, azoanthraquinone, azomethine anthraquinone and phthalocyanine series, characterised in that a crude pigment is treated with polyphosphoric acid and the mixture is allowed to flow into such an amount of water, ice or a water-miscible organic liquid or a mixture of these substances that the H3 PO4 equivalent of the resulting mixture is =< 40%. |
