PURPOSE:To obtain magnetic material having both high saturation magnetic flux density and excellent magnetic anisotropy, by making the total amount (at%) of Co and Fe in a specified main phase larger than or equal to a specified value. CONSTITUTION:This magnetic material has crystal structure of RxCOyFe100-x-y and the total amount of Co and Fe in the main phase of the crystal structure is larger than or equal to 90 at%. R is one or more kinds of elements selected out of a group of rare earth elements, and (x) and (y) show ate, and satisfy 4<=x<=20 and 0.01<=y<=70, respectively. Thereby both high saturation magnetic flux density and excellent magnetic anisotropy are realized, and magnetic material suitable for permanent magnets containing a bond magnet can be obtained. |
