PURPOSE:To provide nonwoven fabric uniformly afforded with a large quantity of functional powder and excellent in durability and functionality. CONSTITUTION:The nonwoven fabric with mutually entangled fibers bound via a binder and the surface of these fibers afforded with functional powder such as activated carbon via a binder. A urethane-based material is suitable as the binder. Crimped polyester fibers are suitable as the fibers. For producing the present nonwoven fabric, a urethane binder liquid before curing is attached to the fibers followed by sticking powdery activated carbon to the surface of the fibers and then curing the binder through heating or steaming to effect mutually binding the fibers along with fixing the activated carbon onto the fibers. |
