PURPOSE:To improve the operating efficiency of a die by providing a pair of front caps which can hold a core to the top end of an arm, turning the arm around the axial center and oscillating the same from the axial center position of the die. CONSTITUTION:A rotating body 11 is provided to the top end of the arm 3 toward the axial center direction of the die. A pair of the front caps 13A, 13B which hold the core 12 to both ends of the body 11 are disposed around the axial center of the arm 3 at every other 180 deg.. The caps 13A, 13B are respectively attachable and detachable to and from the opening end 6 of the die by the movement of the arm 3 toward the axial center direction of the die. A cylinder device 5 is actuated, upon completion of casting of a cast pipe 2, to move the arm 3 thereby detaching the cap 13 from the end 6. The arm 3 is rotated and oscillated, after the discharge of sand, to hold the core 12 by another cap 13B and the centrifugal casting is repeated. The casting cycle time is reduced by such core setter and the operating efficiency of the die is improved. |
