MEDIUM MATERIAL FOR ELECTROPHORESIS

PURPOSE:To improve the adhesiveness between a plastic base layer and a medium layer for electrophoresis contg. a compd. having a polyacrylamide aq. gel and one carbamoyl group as a modifier and cover film. CONSTITUTION:The adhesive layer contg. an inorg. compd. such as silicon dioxide and a binder consisting of polymer having a layer-forming effect such as cellulose deriv. at about (1:3)-(10:1) ratio by weight is laminated to about 0.2-15mum thickness on the base layer which is formed of a hydrophilic polymer such as polyethylene terephthalate and has about 70-300mum thickness. The medium layer for electrophoresis contg. the polyacrylamide aq. gel crosslinked and polymerized with an acrylamide compd. and a crosslinking agent such as bifunctional compd. in the presence of water and the compd. such as urea having at least one carbamoyl group as the modifier is laminated thereon. The plastic cover film layer is further laminated thereon.
