PURPOSE:To improve a durability, by a method wherein floating oil-proof weirs are mutually connected with a mooring chain and a set of oil-proof curtains which are curved to the chain are provided with the chain put between the curtains and between the floating weirs. CONSTITUTION:Floating oil-proof weir units 4 are mutually connected with a chain 6, and a set of oil-proof curtains 7 of incombustible composite material are provided to be curved to the chain 6 put between the floating oil-proof weirs. As the result, tensile stress only could be generated on the surface of the oil-proof curtains 7 because the curtains are made of thin sheets, and the curtains can withstand the pressure of oil streaming from tankers and wave-dynamic in a typhoon with sufficient safety factor in view of strength. |
