PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of noise by forming the opened port having a small diameter onto the outer surface of the stabilizer of a transverse fan and allowing said opened port to communicate to the vacant part having a prescribed volume. CONSTITUTION:An opened port 10 having a sectional area S is formed at the center in the longitudinal direction on the outer surface opposed to the vane wheel 7 of a stabilizer 8, and a vacant part 11 having a volume V is formed at the position departed by a distance L from the opened port 10, and the communication between the opened port 10 and the vacant part 11 is permitted by a conduit 12 having the sectional area S. Therefore, the noise having the nz sound as center can be reduced by allowing the frequency due to the sound impedance of the stabilizer 8 to accord with the frequency of the nz sound. |
