<p>PURPOSE:To set up a substantially long suction pipe line inside a narrow chamber, by forming a suction case leading to the atmosphere into a thin boxlike form, while letting each suction pipe at every cylinder thrust into one side of the case, and extending it up to the vicinity of the other side. CONSTITUTION:A thin boxlike suction case 8 provided with an atmospheric suction port 11 at its lower part is set up in the upper part of a cylinder head 3 of an engine 1, while a suction pipe 6 to be interconnected to each suction port is thrust into from the one side, extending it up to a nearby spot of the other end of the suction case 8. The suction pipe 6 and the suction case 8 are all solidly molded with aluminum alloy die casting or the like. With this construction, a substantially long suction pipe line is securable amply inside a narrow engine room, making effective use of a suction inertial effect, thus engine efficiency is improvable.</p> |
