PURPOSE:To easily make a decision by correcting an error in a measured value obtained from the 1st light emitting and photodetecting means which measures transmittivity of light by using specific wavelength, and discriminating kerosene and measuring its refraction factor. CONSTITUTION:The 1st LED5 (wavelength: 480nm) is arranged in a tank section 3a to face the (1a)th photodetecting element 8 and also face the (1b)th photodetecting element 12 across a quartz glass rod 11, and the 2nd LED (wavelenth: 650nm) if arranged opposite the 2nd photodetecting element 16. Then, the transmissivity of oil is calculated as a coefficient of compensation on the basis of the input to the 1st LED5 and the output from the 2nd photodetecting element 16 and the output ratio of the input to the 1st LED5 and the output from the (1a)th photodetecting element 16 are multiplied by the coefficient of compensation to obtain the transmissivity, which is compared with data in a microcomputer 22 to discriminate on kerosene. Further, when the oil is not kerosene, the refraction factor of the oil is calculated on the basis of the output of the (1b)th photodetecting element 12 to decide on the kind of the oil. |
