PURPOSE:To obtain a polyester resin useful as a dyeable resin for sublimation transfer image reception bodies and capable of raising the image sensitivity for the bodies without the need of using any plasticizer, composed of an acid component including an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and a glycol component including a specific glycol component. CONSTITUTION:This polyester resin is composed of (A) an acid component containing >=20 (pref. 30-100)mol% of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid (e.g. terephthalic acid) and (B) a glycol component containing 0.1-20 (pref. 1-10)mol.% of a glycol component of the formula (R<1> and R<2> are each a 1-4C alkyl: R<3> and R<4> are each a 2-3C alkylene oxide; (m) and (n) are each 1-5) (pref. ethylene oxide adduct or propylene oxide adduct to neopentyl glycol. As the glycol component which can be combined with the glycol component of the formula, e.g. ethylene glycol is cited. It is preferable that the number-average molecular weight of this resin be 2000-50000. |
