PURPOSE:To make an air bag housing cover easily start cleaving at the specified position of its tear line. CONSTITUTION:A bent section 6D is provided for the end peripheral section 6C of a mark 6 which is made of material harder than material forming sections around the mark, and let the bent section 6D be engaged with the groove inner surface 3a of a tear line 3. When the tear line 3 starts cleaving, the bent section 6D of the mark 6 made of hard material acts as a puller pulling up the groove inner surface to a mark forming side. This constitution thereby permits the tear line 3 to start cleaving at a point where the groove inner surface 3a is engaged with the bent section 6D of the mark 6. The whole of the device can be made small in size with an inflator made small in size, and moreover, an occupant can thereby be protected more surely with the developing speed of an air bag made quicker. |
