PURPOSE:To simplify the structure by leading a signal line out to the reverse surface of a substrate through a through-hole conductor embedded in the substrate. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic head is easily manufactured by forming a lower core, signal coil 2, and upper cores 3 and 3' with a magnetic gap 4 on the substrate as a slider 1 by photolithography and reducing the sectional area of the magnetic path at a gap abutting part. Then, gap depth is determined by core film thickness and any special mechanical work is not required. This structure allows a surface where the film is formed to serve as a slide surface for recording media, so the signal coil is led out by leading a signal coil lead 6 out to the reverse surface of the sliding surface through the through-hole conductor provided in the substrate previously. |
