PURPOSE:To allow a user to learn that a probe comes off a body during the measurement, by detecting the measured temperature falling below a specified value with respect to the maximum temperature to display real temperature in response to the temperature drop detection output. CONSTITUTION:Temperature is measured with a temperature measuring element 1 such as thermistor and memorized 2 at each timing of sampling while the maximum temperature is stored 3. Then, the temperature contraction is judged 4 and the current maximum temperature is notified 5 of and displayed 8 with a buzzer or the like. When a probe of the temperature measuring element comes off a body and the measured temperature drops with respect to the maximum temperature, the temperature drop is dtected 6 and the current temperature is displayed 8 in a real basis. So, a user repositions the probe and measure the temperature again to detect the maximum temperature. Thus, a real display can be done in case the probe comes off at the measuring position and allows the user to correct it thereby enabling accurate inspection of temperature. |
