PURPOSE:A composition for oral cavity, obtained by incorporating aluminum hydroxide prepared by pulverizing with a rotating impact pulverizer as a base material with other components, having moderate polishing property for teeth and improved cleaning effect, and useful for prophylaxis pastes, etc. CONSTITUTION:A composition for oral cavity obtained by incorporating modified aluminum hydroxide prepared by pulverizing aluminum hydroxide with a rotating impact pulverizer at 20-200m/sec peripheral speed of a rotor, 10-100m/sec peripheral speed of a separator and about 5-60m<2>/min air flow to give 3-20mu average particle diameter, and preferably treating the resultant pulverized aluminum hydroxide with phosphoric acid or a salt thereof with other components. Preferably, the above-mentioned modified aluminum hydroxide is used in an amount of 20-100%, particularly 40-100% based on the total polishing agent. This use of the modified aluminum hydroxide prevents the corrosion of containers for toothpastes, etc. |
