A vehicle body comprises a roof 2, 40 and a bottom 7, 41, 42 and side wall elements 5, which are connected to the roof by overlay profile sections 4 and to the bottom by underlay profile sections 6. The side wall elements 5, which are fastened between rims 14, 15 formed on the overlay profile sections 4 and the underlay profile sections 6 and profile section pieces 17, are bonded to the rims 14, 15 and preferably also the profile section pieces 17. The connection between the overlay profile sections 4 and the roof 2, 40 and between the underlay profile sections 6 and the bottom 41, 42 is achieved by means of similar bonding connections and by way of corner connections 3. The vehicle body can be fitted without the use of holes for rivets or the like, in addition to which greater fabrication tolerances for the elements 5, 40, 41, 42 can be compensated for as a result of the specially formed profile section pieces 17. <IMAGE>
