PURPOSE:To alleviate difference of contrast in a joint of a composite image, by overlapping joints of 2 pieces of supersonic images obtained by changing focus points and giving weight to the images by changing the correlation coefficient of this overlapped portion. CONSTITUTION:An image converting table 8 is installed between A/D convertor 3 and image memory 4. This table 8 is composed of a converting table 9 including a ROM which stores various relative coefficients X, Y, and an ID circuit 10 of correlation coefficient. The table 9 introduces into the memory 4 and image A stored preliminarily and an image B delivered out from the convertor 3, and makes conversion of the image B into (X.A+Y.B)/(X+Y) basing upon the correlation coefficients X, Y read out from the table 9 basing upon the images A, B and introduces it to the memory 4. A composite image obtained by the memory 4 is subjected preliminarily to a gain correction per each image A and B at an amplifier 2 and further, the overlapped portion is divided and weight is given per each division by changing the coefficients X, Y and consequently, the difference of contrast the joint is alleviated. |
