PURPOSE:A temperature indicating material, containing an acid base indicator and a meltable compound, consisting of a carboxylic acid and an amine, and capable of giving a pH change, and capable of changing color reversibly according to the temperature change, and usable for temperature measurement, thermogenic sensing signs, and energy saving temperature signs, etc. CONSTITUTION:A reversible temperature indicating material containing (A) an acid base indicator, e.g. rhodamin B or methyl violet, and (B) a meltable compound, consisting of (i) a carboxylic acid, e.g. acetic acid or propionic acid, and/ or (ii) an amine, e.g. (di- or tri)ethanolamine or hexylamine, and capable of giving a pH change. USE:Temperature control of refrigerators, irons, toasters, gas water heater, etc. danger preventing signs, bath thermometers, indication of suitable temperature for food and drink, teaching materials, toys, etc. |
