<p>A repellent contains as effective components (I) N-aryl maleimide of formula: (where X1 and X2 are each H or halo; Y is halo, alkyl or lower alkoxy; n is 0, 1, 2 or 3 and (II) at least one of the organotin cpds. bis(tri-n-butyl tin)mesodibromosuccinate, triphenyl tin monochloroacetate, triphenyl tin hydroxide, and bis(tri-n-butyl tin) oxide, and opt. (III) 4-anilino-monochloroacetylanilide, 2,4-dinitrophenyl thiocyanate, 4,6-dinitro-o-cresole and/or zinc oxide. An effective repellent against aquatic organisms, esp. shellfish and algae which is easily manufactured is provided.</p> |
