PURPOSE:To prevent unbalance of damping force by forcefully matching the damping force of sound shockabsorber with that of defective one upon malfunction of any one of the variable damping force shockabsorber. CONSTITUTION:In a system where shockabsorbers 3-6 having damping force regulatable through variation of the flowpath area of an orifice by means of a motor are provided to the suspenders at the right and left and in front and rear of car, means A for detecting that any one shockabsorber has failed to damp with specific rate is provided. Upon provision of a fault detection signal from said means A, control means B will control to approximately match the damping force of sound shockabsorber with that of the defective one. Consequently, deterioration of travel stability during fault can be prevented. |
