A gas cooker has a burner which is integral with a large area hot plate or working surface. This hot plate is circular, flanged down around its edge, with an integral hub underneath, in the middle, forming the burner. This hub in turn, is integral with the vertical gas supply pipe. The hub portion has a row of holes around the top, so that the flames which emerge horizontally, impinge on the underside of the flanged top, giving a good heat transfer over a wide area. The air holes can be below the gas outlet holes, and further holes through the peripheral flange permit escape of the combustion gases.
|
