PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body stable against heat and light and superior in carrier generation function by using a specified trisazo pigment as a carrier generating material. CONSTITUTION:A photoconductor composing the photosensiive lever of the electrophotographic sensitive body used here is an azo pigment represented by formula I is which each of (R)n is independent from each other, and each is H, halogen, optionally substd. alkyl, alkoxy, or nitrile, and n is an integer of 1 or 2. The photosensitive layer of the electrophotographic sensitive body may contain widely known sensitizers, preferably, such as Lewis acids forming a carrier transfer complex together wih an org. photoconductor or a dye, and it may also containg widely known plasticizers in order to enhance film forming property, flexibility, and mechanical strength. The photosensitive layer using this azo pigment is high in sensitivity, good in color sensitivity, low in variation of sensitivity and acceptance potential, small in light fatigue, and extremely excellent in durability. |
